Findings of a BIENNALE... Three days touring the Venice Biennale of Architecture, right in its final stage, allow us to draw some personal conclusions about the current context of architecture. For over one hundred years ago, in one of the lesser known areas of Venice, the setting of Arsenal -the former shipyards and armories that began to build in the thirteenth century, looking impregnable fortress-a biannual event develops related with art, the Venice Biennale. Since 1980, art and architecture are alternated annually in the same space, using both of the old shipyards rehabilitated ( Arsenale ) as the country pavilions have been built in the nearby Garden ( Giardini ) since 1895.
